I Just Want You To Know

I know, I know, it's been a while. I've been trying, but school and a lack of inspiration have caught up with me. I started three different stories and have yet to finish any of them.

I know this one kind of sucks. We all know the story and such, but, as it's Easter, I think it's important to remember and reflect for a little bit. Plus, I needed some dialogue practice. I hope everyone's Easter is spectacular! Enjoy!

There was a man
Who lived one day with holes in His hands

“There’s more to this than just that chocolate you’re eating, you know.”

“You mean more candy?”

“Ha, no. I meant to today. Easter. A whole story behind it.”

“A story? What’s it about?”

“A man. An ordinary man but, at the same time, so incredibly extraordinary.”

“Who was he?”

“Jesus, the Son of God. He came to Earth to save us all.”

“From monsters?”

“Of a sort.”

“What kind?”

“The kind that you’ll understand when you’re older. The kind born from jealousy, greed, and hate.”

“Those aren’t monsters!”

“They were to the people Jesus saved.”

“Did he fight them?”

“No.”

“He didn’t kill them?”

“No. He let them kill Him.”

“He died? What kind of story is that? He didn’t even win.”

“That’s what you think.”

“How could he have won if he was dead?”

“His death was all a part of the plan. Do you know what happened next?”

“They buried Him?”

“Well, yes. But that’s not the important part. He came back.”

“Like a zombie?”

“No. Like a real, live human being.”

“That didn’t happen.”

“Yes, it did.”

“It’s impossible!”

“With God, all things are possible.”

“How did that save the people though?”

“His death was the death they should have died because they were a terrible people. He sacrificed Himself for them.”

“Why?”

“Because He loved them.”

“Are we bad?”

“In a sense.”

“Will He save us too?”

“He already did. That same day.”

“So…He was innocent, but He let them kill Him so that we could live?”

“That’s it exactly.”

“Because He loved us?”

“Yes.”

“I think I love Him too. "
